The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that Parwaaz Financial Services Limited (PFSL) is compliant with all regulations governing the operations of PFSL, but not limited to regulatory guidance, policies and procedures. The Compliance Officer will analyze risk related to compliance and perform reviews, evaluations, and audits related to compliance issues/concerns within the organization. The Compliance Officer will act as a channel of communication to receive and direct compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation and resolution. The Compliance Officer will also be assisting the Chief Risk Officer in liaising with various regulators, and statutory bodies.

- To generate periodic compliance examination reports as per relevant Policy Manual and guidelines issued by the SECP, and any other statutory bodies.
- To perform KYC Compliance of new accounts, especially for Matching / Screening of Account requester name in Blacklist / World Check Web Database cascading the same as per defined process.
- Conduct CDD & EDD where applicable.
- Create awareness and proper management of compliance information & procedures through training sessions on AML / KYC, etc.
- To assist in implementing & reinforcing compliance related policies.
- To prepare periodic compliance reports to the Management viz. a viz. current status & progress.
- Develops, initiates, maintains and revises policies and procedures for the general operations of PFSL, related to the compliance function and its activities to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct.
- Exercises discretion and use of independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
- Collaborates with the management to provide information to accurately determine PFSL’s extent of compliance.
- Stays abreast of changes in regulation, guidance and best practices to inform the Management of and provide information on compliance changes that may affect them.
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates having experience in financial institutions will be preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Strong stakeholder management.
- Well versed with KYC/AML/CFT policy and regulations.
- Exposure and understanding of different financing products, documentation, risks, etc. w.r.t compliance & control aspects.
- Conversant with compliance structure to ensure effective & efficient compliance function.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Ability to work with multiple and tight deadlines with a commitment to quality, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong sense of accountability, integrity, flexibility, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity.
Minimum a graduate degree in business or equivalent from a reputable institution. required. Any additional /relevant certification will be considered to be an added advantage.
- Preferably 1 year of relevant experience.
- Experience of financial institutions is highly preferred.
